M.G. Kocsis

About the author

I have always been a dreamer. A dreamer who believes in the good and magic side of the world. A dreamer who likes to express its dreams and feelings through writing and drawing. Who loves to create all kinds of stories and rhymes about love, kindness, awareness, spirituality, innocence, inspiration and life itself. Stories and rhymes for everyone: children, young people and adults.

This site is my creative world. A world that I always carried inside me. A world I ignored only because I mistakenly believed that dreaming was a weakness, so I put all my efforts into becoming an engineer, thinking that this was the only way I could have meaning and a place in this world.

Well, it worked for a while, but it didn’t make any difference, because when your heart beats for something and you don’t follow its calling, you don’t always end up fulfilled and happy.

Fortunately, over time I was able to understand how life and the world actually work, so I decided to allow myself to be what I really am.

My biggest inspiration and support is my family. My cats and my dogs are already characters in some of the children’s stories.

My son inspired me to write a dear book about his life as a baby.

My parents, through their wishes and the life they had, provided me with rich material for several books about family, spirituality and ideals.

To learn more about what inspires me and everything I do, I invite you to follow this website as well as my social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

This is me: I draw and write about everything inside and outside. About everything we live and feel.

Biography

Maria G. Kocsis discovered her love for drawing when she was ten. She had a passion for colouring books however, when her parents redecorated the house’s walls, she discovered that she could also draw. Sailor Moon drawing at 1:1 scale remained her masterpiece on the kitchen’s wall, and her father saved it for more than twenty-five years, until he passed away.

Maria G. Kocsis discovered her love for writing around the age of fourteen. She started writing her first poems, being inspired by the ones her father used to write in his difficult nights. Since then, she has written hundreds of poems about love, life, people, time, inspirational poetry and others; being appreciated in high school by her literature teacher.  The interest in children’s stories and other types of writing was aroused around the age of thirty, during the Christmas period. Always feeling like a child at heart, she had the feeling that there was more to be said about Christmas beyond what was already known. Fortunately, her dog helped her discover the untold stories behind Christmas and its heroes. Even though she already has several other projects completed, “The Christmas books” series are the first books to be presented to the public.
